How To Transition to a Healthier Diet that Lasts!

Starting your health & wellness journey can be intimidating when there are so many new fad diets coming out every couple of months. Fad diets urge takers to do the extreme in order to attain this picture-perfect image of what a “healthy” body should be or look like. In a generation with so much information floating around, where should you start?

To start off, begin your journey with smaller attainable goals that you can accomplish. For example, you can start by being more mindful of the calorie tags that are listed on your food. Taking this small initiative will already propel you to a healthier relationship with food as you become knowledgeable about what your body is actually consuming.



From there you can slowly start incorporating healthier alternatives in your food choices; such as replacing the side of fries for roasted yams which still prove to be a delicious side or saying no to that sugary beverage and siding with a diet alternative of the beverage. Although these changes seem overstated and drawn out, it all comes down to being consistent with yourself and what works for your lifestyle.
